How to explain the costs of our procedures?

You want to regain natural vision and no longer wear glasses or contact lenses. You have certainly started to research online about the different options available to you. At first glance, it is difficult to understand what these seemingly high prices correspond to, especially since they can vary from simple to triple depending on the different providers.

First of all, please note that refractive surgery is not reimbursed by Social Security as it is considered “comfort surgery”, just like cosmetic surgery. Only a few conditions that cannot be corrected by wearing glasses or contact lenses are eligible for reimbursement. However, some mutual insurance companies and supplementary health plans offer partial coverage for these surgical costs in their packages. • The quality, diversity, and recency of the available equipment

• A center belonging to a "low-cost" chain vs. an independent center owned by surgeons (i.e., standardized treatment for "simple" cases vs. customized treatment)
